Fireworks in the western culture
Fireworks were invented by the Chinese in the 12th century and they have been an active part of all celebrations and ceremonies in China since then. Because of geographical proximity, the eastern part of the world had begun using fireworks for various reasons and they had become an integral part of their activities.
Since the trade routes opened and the west came into contact with the Chinese and other Asian nations, fireworks have spread in usage quickly across people of all nations. In the beginning, the chemicals used for producing fireworks and their knowhow were known to very few people. After the western influence, fireworks took strides in terms of complexity and sophistication. This, in turn, has resulted in more and more dazzling displays of sound and colours.
The unseen effect of such widespread procurement of raw materials and production of fireworks has been that the prices of fireworks have gone down over the years and really cheap fireworks are available for everyone to enjoy.
Because of the chemical nature of the products used for making fireworks, a wide variety of firework products can be created by slightly varying the components that are combined to make them. Considering roman candles for instance, they contain chemicals that create a myriad of colours at different heights rather than going off with a bang like Christmas crackers.
Types of fireworks
There are so many different types of fireworks and crackers that are available in the market today. From sparklers to rockets, there are numerous fireworks that give hours of fun and entertainment to children and adults alike. Even on special occasions like weddings, crackers have become a way of signalling the celebration of the union through wedding fireworks.
In many cases, fireworks are considered only as an outdoor activity, a perception that is fast changing among a lot of people today because of the range of indoor fireworks that are available today. With the availability of stable chemicals and stringent safety processes and procedures during manufacturing, indoor fireworks are available nowadays. The smoke and heat that are usually associated with fireworks and the dangers caused by them are mitigated in indoor fireworks and provide for a safe and secure way to enjoy the thrill under any conditions. All these fireworks contain detailed instructions on how to be used so that the person who uses them do not get hurt or hurts others which will dampen the fun that can be had with fireworks.
