Fireworks: are they safe?

There has been a long standing dispute among people about the safety of fireworks. Because they use chemicals and create heat, light and sound, a lot of people mistrust fireworks and worry about them causing injury to the people around. Traditionally, many of the festivals across the globe have been celebrated with fireworks as they symbolise fun and entertainment. But, there also have been accidents that have been caused by mishandling of the fireworks. Sometimes, people with the intention of getting cost effective goods mistakenly buy low quality cheap fireworks that can sometimes be faulty.

The chemicals in use today do not produce too much of toxic gases when they fire up and the packaging of the fireworks have also improved that they can be handled safely. Companies also invest on making sure that the public understand the risks of using fireworks without proper direction so that no one gets injured.
